How to Reset a Skoda Key
Just received a notification from my infotainment system to say that the battery in the key is low and requires replacement. This isn't the first time, and when I last visited an dealer, they replaced it for free, took about 2 mins and said it would work once more.
Switch the ignition ON and mechanically lock the car. Press the unlock button 5 times at intervals of one second on the remote control. A short horn tone will play.
EEPROM Method
If your car's key isn't working, it could take an extended time for a professional to reprogramme it. In a lot of instances, the EEPROM is read to find the unique code of the car.
